Friday the 13th

I saw this on msn. Its pretty funny how we can have so many phobias.
I wonder who named them anyway.

Here are some of the out of the norm phobias. I am sure you would never have heard of them.

Paraskevidekatriaphobia - fear of Friday the 13th

Aulophobia - fear of flutes
(thats pretty insulting)

Graphophobia - fear of handwriting
(you will probabably freak out and die when you write gp essays)

Papaphobia - fear of the pope

Gerontophobia - fear of old people + Peladophobia - fear of bald people
= Geropeladophobia - fear of old, bald people

Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia - fear of long words
(seriously this is ironic)

Phobophobia - fear of developing a fear

Barophobia - fear of gravity
(come on, you are stuck to the ground 24/7)

didaskaleinophobia, the fear of going to school
(i wish i was diagnosed with this)

We are a weird lot.. go figure hahax

ERhem Attention Please!

Today, claire and I discovered that we have an extraordinary talent! And that is.. *drumroll*.. We can fix pianos! woOOhoooOO~

The school piano's sustain pedal is spoilt. And if you can play the piano, you will realise how important it is and how irritating it is without the sustain pedal.

IT the sustain pedal,is the reason behind why pianists sound good.

And WE fixed the sustain pedal!

Why we have to do this?
The school being its usual stingy self refused to pay for repairs.
At one feedback session,
student: " The pedal of the piano is spoilt, we should send someone to repair it."
OM: " From what I observe, I still hear good music when I pass by someone playing the piano in the canteen. "

Obviously the OM is not very cultured as we can see.

Well, back to the point about how we are such geniuses. We opened the roof, detached the boards, investigated the problem, painstakingly fixed the pedal then put it together again. AND, NOW it works!

With only a postcard and our intellect, once again, claire and cindy saves the day!
